Feb. 9, 2025 — Woke up to about five inches of snow this morning, very powdery and no good for snow balls. We threw it in the air for the dog anyways, and she jumped for it as it scattered into a cloud. The juncos were out early; they love hopping around when no one else is out, leaving small marks in the snow. We wore ourselves out shoveling. We ate nachos. At 4:40 the sun flickered through orange-tipped and then turned to gray. Later we’ll watch the big game and fold laundry. — Amy Jean
