I love your illustrations and spider facts! We live out in the country and have lots of spiders and webs around the house. We have a few orb weavers, but mostly we see crab spiders which are big, dangerous-looking, change colors to camouflage themselves to match their surroundings, and not harmful to humans or pets.
Love this - and I too have both walked int the webs and learned to look carefully for them, especially this time of year. Orb weavers are just the best!
