From Spencer in Newark, DE:

There's been this big albino skunk roaming my neighborhood; right around the time it showed up I was dog-sitting my neighbor's dog and taking it for a walk every night felt like playing a game of Russian Roulette. We did encounter the skunk one night, but thankfully he was far enough away that we didn't get sprayed, though, now reading your newsletter, we were probably just on the verge of the 10ft splash zone. Oh no! That thing's not shy, though. It was just hanging out in a side-yard when we found it, and the other time I saw it, in my car, it was running right down the middle of the main drag.

I remember this pandemic summer watching a skunk poke at a garbage bag someone had randomly left directly across the street from our house, and calling the folks who live with me to come see. It was fun to watch from safe inside the large living room window, and we didn't do anything because a) not our garbage b) not garbage day c) it's a skunk are you kidding. So it works on humans, too.

I love how baby skunk cuteness is inversely proportional to their terrible odor LOL
